3 Month Bridal Beauty Regime

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit, but when planning a wedding it takes at least 90 days to become Bridal ready. Picture it now, you're running around doing final dress fittings, venue visits, and vendor meetings. By the end of the day you're exhausted. You spend so much time worrying and planning for your wedding because you want it to be the perfect day. However, when the day finally gets here so many brides realize they haven't focused on themselves. Don't let this be you! It takes 3 short months to become the beatiful bride you've always dreamed of being. Below is a basic 3 month beauty timeline that anyone can implement.

90 days before the wedding (thats just 3 short months!!)

Now is the time to prepare your body! It is now that you want to implement anything that may take more time to achieve.

-Almost every bride says they want to lose weight before their big day. The best way to do this quickly is to visit a nutritionist. They can review your diet and give simple tips to change your lifestyle. Brides also use this time to join a local gym. However, one does not need to spend big bucks to make a lifesyle change. Eat a healthy diet ( get LOTS of greens!), Drink at least 64oz of water a day, and implement a multivitamin. If you do not want to splurge to join a gym, take nightly walks and implement some form of a home workout routine. Exercise will not only help you accomplish a lean and trim body for your big day, but it will also help you destress from all of the planning.

- If you want whiter teeth, take the extra time to go the proper way. White teeth are beautiful, but there is no need to cause damage to your pearly whites. Make a visit with your dentist for a routine cleaning and scheulde a whitening procedure while you are there. If you do not want to pay for an expensive dental whitening, as your dentist if there are any safe whitening procedures that you can attain over the counter.

- If you are planning on using contraception after marriage, it is important to get it started at least 60 days before your wedding. Make an appointment with your OBGYN for a full checkup and blood pannel. At this time the doctor can go over different forms of contraception and you can find the one that will work the best for you. Although people may not want to think about this, it is one of the most important steps. The sooner you get this started the better. Birth Control can often cause weight fluctuations so if you are trying to lose weight, the sooner you implement your birth control the sooner you will learn the affects it may have on your body and be able to adapt.

-If you are planning on tanning for your big day, you will want to start at least 60-90 days beforehand. This will allow you to gradually create a tan and not feel that you need to rush and burn. When one burns, it takes 2 full weeks for your skin to recover. That being said, if it is the summer months, make sure that Sun Screen is your best friend! Take it everywhere to keep your skin tone even and to avoid burning and peeling (this should be done whether you are indoor tanning or not!).

- Basic beauty routines need to get started at this time as well. Call your hair stylist and schedule yourself for a trim. Getting rid of dead ends will allow you hair to remain healthy and grow much quicker. You should also make sure to wash your face daily and implement a scrub at least 2 days a week. Overall, keep your face and the rest of your skin thoroughly moisturized. This will help your skin be healthy and vibrant for your big day!

30 Days - Practice Runs!

While continuing the beauty routines you have implemented in the past few months, now it's time to schedule all of your beauty practice runs! This is the fun part! Call your hair stylist and makeup artist and create a time to try out your desired look. Make sure you have ideas and even pictures of desired looks. Although hair stylists and makeup artists are professionals, they deal with clients of many different tastes and ideas. Being fully prepared with examples of what you want will help you have a successful trial run. Make sure you schedule these first thing in this 30 day timeline. Often Brides see their desired style and decide it is not right for them. For this reason, you may need to schedule more than one appointment.

15 Days Before - Facial and Wax!

Although 2 weeks before the wedding sounds too far in advance for a facial or a wax, it is imperative that you do NOT wait until last minute to get these done. The treatments used for facials and waxing may cause your skin to become irritated or have a negative reaction. Some of these reactions do not clear quickly, therefore giving yourself at least 2 weeks will allow for beautiful healthy skin on your big day! If worried about facial hair growth in the 2 weeks remember that waxing slows hair growth for much longer than plucking or shaving. But you can always keep a pair of tweezers or beauty scissors in your purse for touch ups!

7 Days - Hair Prep and Body Prep!

- One week before the big day is when you should have any hair touch ups scheduled. If you are in need of a color, highlight, or root touchup make sure that you let your hair stylist know to add in a hydration treatment to prevent dry hair or breakage.

- If you are in need of an eyebrow wax, now is the time to get it. As with the body waxing, the hair growth will be slow and doing this a week beforehand will allow for any irritation to heal before the wedding day.

-It is also a great idea to buy a pharmacy grade antiperspirant. Implementing it a week before your wedding will allow your body to adjust and keep you dry and smell free for your big day!

- If you are planning on using fake eyelashes, try some out a week ahead of time. Oftentimes fake eyelashes sound good in theory, but many Brides realize they are not a product that they enjoy wearing. It is also important to try them ahead of time because some brides may have a negative reaction to the glue and this will allow proper healing time.

- During this week, don't forget to wear your wedding shoes around the house! This sounds like common sense, but many brides get so caught up in everything that they forget to break in their shoes and end up with extremely hurt feet and nasty blisters.

1-2 Days Before - It's Almost Here!!

- The last few days before the wedding can be hectic, but don't forget to take time for yourself. Now is the best time to get your manicure and pedicures done. This is often a fun thing to do with the bridesmaids, maid of honor, or mother and future mother in law.

-It is also a great time to get a massage. This can work as a way to relax, let all of the planning stress go, and get your mind set for the excitement of becoming a Mrs. !

- If you are planning on getting a spray tan, make sure this is scheduled at least 2 days before the rehearsal. This will allow the color to set to it's most natural shade to ensure a beautiful bridal glow. Be sure that all massages, manicures, and anything involving scrubs, oils, or waxes are done BEFORE you get your spray tan so as to not mess it up and look splotchy for your wedding.
